Memory card help/advice

Hi

I have a Sony A380 and a thought struck me yesterday. I have a two 2GB memory cards that can hold approximately 395 pictures each. Does this sound right? I have it on the "fine" setting, when I looked on the sandisk website for a conversion chart it suggest that when shooting as little as 4MP you should be able to get 143 photos on there - the higher the megapixel count the lower the ammount of pictures (obviously). Does this mean my 14MP camera is running at less than 4MP? File size is roughly 3MB. A tad confused.

You need to look at the second table "Photos – Compressed (JPEG 100% quality) Images per card". You're saving the image as a compressed jpeg, not an uncompressed tiff.
