Megga-meet 2015

I shall be driving so it'll be squash for me. Does mean a clear head in the morning though so not all :( . ;)

I'll be joining you at the squash table
Table tennis is played on a table, squash in a court, but either way I'll get the images

the "squash table" is what happens if anyone gets between matt and the buffet :)

Petra just because you wife takes better photos that you :p

Hardly - she doesnt even have a proper camera... her dad gave her one of 'those' nikon things

(actually joking aside my father in law is the best photographer in the family even if he does use nikon ;) )

@Cobra I'm toying with the idea of doing this but must confess I haven't been keeping up with the thread. Are there still spaces left and if so are there plenty of them (I dont want to spend too much time thinking about it if there aren't)?

Yes hopefully by then just wide angle...I've still got a flipping lot to lose yet

course oif you go out drinking again \a 'tilt shift' could come in handy , for the sudden change of perspective ;)

There are quite a few places left at the moment Mike,
We will make an announcement post nearer the time "as and when" places start to become "limited"
Hope that helps?

Thanks Chris. I will chat to Mrs Raptor about it later :D
Just tell her you are popping out for a paper,
She won't mind :D
of course you could drag her along too ;)

 You don't need to suck up to the father in law he's not here....well as far as I know lol

Yeah but I'm a reformed fatty, it's kind of like a reformed smoker and just as annoying

no he only uses fotobuzz - but its not sucking up he genuinely is .. tiz annoying about 5 years ago I was virtually showing him when end of a camera to look through and he'd just bought a nikon D60 (the camera my missus has now) - 5 years later he's rocking a D750 and a 200-400 f4 (and a D7100 with a 70-200 f2.8) and he's at least as good if not better than me, at least with wildlife... I still have the edge on weddings

Right you lot - Photography moment alert! Need your input please.

I was round at @fabs house today and we had an idea that I thought we should put to the membership, specifically those that are attending, to see if it appeals before I sort the logistics with Chris.

The idea is to have someone that can stand around doing 'sports' stuff while you all practice and get advice and guidance for setting up your cameras to cope with such action and when to take the picture. Obviously stuff like football would be tricky, but we thought 'a golfer', a 'tennis player' and a 'cricketer' would be very easy to do. Worth thinking about?

Does snooker count as a sport? sounds an interesting idea  looking forward to seeing how it develops as well as what ever else also happens on the day

I can bring my golf clubs if needed...and also my ju jitsu gear if anyone fancies getting thrown about :)

Cheers.

Nice one. I could bring my rackets but you wouldn't want me in the shot.

I could bring a couple of golf sticks and some soft balls so the locals can't complain about busted windows. Can't guarantee any proper stances, grips or swings though. I do promise not to do a Tiger and shove clicking cameras where the sun don't shine!!!

Another idea occurred to me as I lay in bed this morning - how about a sales table where people can stick excess gear with a price tag (and whose kit it is!) or even just a pin board with kit for sale? I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a few bits and pieces they could be persuaded to part with and it would give buyers a chance to see and examine any kit they want to buy.

Not a bad thought, but do we need any more more "human" models?
That reminds me, We'll have to negotiate with the "brownies" for the field again ;)

Thats not a bad idea either, although the logistics maybe an issue.
Someone will have to "man the stand" unless the seller kept the kit in their car, and we did have a list of things for sale,
with contact details.
I'll talk it over with Yvonne.

Well, my original thought was a table with the kit on but as you say, that would need to be watched (although hopefully none of us look for FFD...) so I developed the idea to the board for cards/notices. Enough people know enough of the rest of us to be able to point any potential buyers in the right direction!

Could the Brownies be bribed with a group shot for their Farcebook page? Shot by a pro...

A basic talk on Falconry, and their pictures taken with a bird, had it covered last time. ;)

12 months later and they'll have forgotten all about it! Maybe someone will bring a puppy?

Do any of the Brownies play golf? ;)
From what I remember last year, they were mostly shorter than your average club :D

it will probably be different brownies!! ;)
Thats true & seeing there was a little confusion over the field last year, I guess it would be polite to ask this year.
"Hopefully" there won't be a "camp anyway"
