Sandbach Transport Festival

Sandbach Transport Festival is a celebration of the town's transport heritage with a variety of vehicles from classic cars to modern classics, from trucks to planes and everything in between. It's fun for the whole family with live music, fairground rides and multiple food and drink outlets.

Runs 23rd and 24th April 2022. Suggesting the Saturday as the parade on Sunday means that streets are shut and parking gets really hard to find. Last time I went to see the parade I walked the 6 miles from home. Official start on the Saturday at 10am and I'd suggest meeting up near the Saxon Crosses on the Cobbles.

Forgotten this event even existed. I've haven't gone anywhere near a town centre on a Saturday morning in about a decade! Weather dependent mostly as it won't be fun if it's lashing down.

I'd thought about coming along to this, but have an appointment tomorrow so can't make it. I'll probably come over to one of the steam rallies later in the summer though (although I'm also hoping that the ones my side of the hills will be back on again this year!)

I think a lot of shows are now. Also if you go to the same ones year after year you tend to see the same stuff so it's not as interesting.
