meaning of 'implied nude'

It's doesn't really matter what we think, since we're not taking any clothes off.

And from the link to Model Mayhem over the page on post #19, it's clear that even models don't agree.

But I think you can be pretty sure that individual girls will have a very clear idea of what it means for them.

We have so many threads telling photographers to charge for images, charge for time etc. but what about the models?
Isn't their time worth something?

If you're still 'learning'and don't want to shell out, then fine: TFCD may be the answer, but don't then complain that the models won't get their kit off...would you? For nothing?

If you want to practice lighting techniques then advertise for a swimsuit shoot. The principles are the same and you'll get your practice shots.
If it's for something you want to include in a portfolio, or publish online, then pay the model.

The only time I pay for models is if its a paid job

Granted - if they come to you for 'folio shots, then they should pay for your time.

But if you're hiring them for your own images, regardless of whether it's for a commission or not...pay up.

not likely TBH - thats what TF is for. I don't sell my images I only do it to learn, I've probably done less than 15 studio shoots in 5 years so its not a very common activity.

Just for the record, my original casting call that prompted this thread, was for a paid shoot. I too always pay models, as generally I will make money from the shoot in some form or another. I tend to try and treat others how I expect to be treated.

I think some models tend to speed read a request, and just see words like 'paid' and 'shoot'.

It was only the less experienced models who failed to understand the meaning of implied nude.

I can't comment on using models or paying for them, never done that side of it yet.

However, for me, implied nude is what you see in your basic shower gel TV advert. You never see the goods but sit there hoping you will
