Mayweather v McGregor

Anyone taking this fight seriously ? I thought giving an ex cricketer a proffesional fight was bad but this farce has taken boxing to a new low.... I wouldn't be surprised if they pranced about for 4 or 5 rounds then did a double KO and it's a draw then leave best mates and a few million quid the better...

Boxing is a serious sport now being played out like a WWE event...it's sad to see IMHO

I'd rather watch WWE. I don't see the appeal in boxing at all.
 
I don't follow boxing or whatever the cocky Irish fella does but I saw one of the "press conferences" and thought what a bloody farce.
What's the point? From my understanding the fight isn't until August, so why are they even in each other's company and getting all up in each others grills for?

Seems like a large money making marketing ploy to me.
 
McGregor is going to kick his 8utt ....

Met a chap who helps him train in Portugal and he mentioned this to me before it went public (I didn't know it was not announced at the time) - he sounds like a machine.

I'll be watching with interest....
 
Much ado about nothing really other than staggering amounts of money. May weather being the boxer of the quality he is should kick McGregors arse all day long.

Really like Manny Pacquiao, De La Hoya, Alvarez and many other world class boxers. Much as I despise the, wife beating excuse of a man, he has boxed and beaten the best in the world.

Mayweather is a supremely gifted boxer, however he has had handpicked fighters all his career. Generally fighting boxers when they have been past their sell by date. Can't really remember him fighting anyone in their pomp?
As for McGregor he will bring a no nonsense attitude and I don't think it will be as easy as Mayweather is thinking. As for his comment on he would have fought him in the octagon then that's just bravado - he wouldn't last a round against McGregor if it was MMA.
