maybe a issue with a lens

hi guys last few months ive been using a 18-70mm wide angle lens but been noticing some weird things happening with some photos and want some advice as to if its me or the lens ....for example if i take a straight forward portrait theres no problems but ..if i get out and take some nice sunset pictures or doing some water droplets i get like pimples all over the photo ..il put up a example of a photo i did the other night of a sunset and see what suggestions i get.ive checked the sensor and cleaned the camera ..i cant see any dust in the lens at all ..thanks in advance

That is dust / dirt spots on the sensor, it probably needs a wet clean to shift them.

They show up more at small apertures, and that sunset is f22. Your portrait stuff is probably shot wider around f4, so you would be pushed to see them.

If it's dust on the sensor, I'd recommend getting hold of an air blower, such as a Giottos Rocket and giving it a good blast in a dust free environment (rooms without carpets probably the best bet, such as the kitchen).

Nothing to do with the lens, it is on the sensor

You will not see any effect on images from dust on or in the lens, as these images prove LINK

now that link shocked me big time lol thanks alot fellas it does seem there was marks on the sensor that i had missed i couldnt see them but the wife could ..i got to get my eyes checked i think thanks again to the guys that posted
