Maximum number of connections from user+IP exceeded....problem

I'm using Outlook for mac, and this message keeps popping up, not all the time, but intermittent.

The E-mail is my main E-mail, which is routed via my provider ( co*******@lesmclean.co.uk)
I can still retrieve E-mails fine on my iPad, iPhone or laptop (using mac mail), without needing to do anything, plus all the other E-mail accounts on Outlook work fine.

I suspect it's because there are 5 different bits of equipment (phones/desktop/laptop) accessing the same E-mail account.
I've tried googling the problem, and the only suggestion I found would be to increase the mail_max_userip_connections=20 to something greater?, but nothing to tell me how to do this.

Any help would be appreciated.

youll probably need to get your ISP domain/email host to change the max users setting. ive seen it with Outlook (windows) and Exchange for large and/or multiple mailboxes.
