Massive photographic blunder

Makes the crisis in the middle east look inconsequential, does it not?

From said article :)

But writer Julian Fellowes has strongly defended the show, saying he believes the "the programme is pretty accurate".

"The real problem is with people who are insecure socially, and they think to show how smart they are by picking holes in the programme to promote their own poshness and to show that their knowledge is greater than your knowledge," he said.

Cancel the entire show I say. How can they carry on after that? No one will watch it after that sort of blunder. ;)

A prog I have never seen and don't intend to.

You mean it's not real? Well that's just blown my whole world apart.

Surely they'd make sure the label was recognisable if it was deliberate?

I'm not even sure it's deliberate.
Downton have made some epic gaffes over the years

This isn't the show though that's the problem though... it's a publicity photograph.. presumably by a professional photographer... so this is just unforgivable sloppiness. This is what happens when you become reliant on retouching. :) There's only one way to ensure that such a faux pas never occurs, and that's to pay attention IN CAMERA... and have a good stylist as well.

Think Bob meant free advertising for the programme

The gaffes I speak of all made it to air

"well I never"

the BBC again - they exposed everything

Can't say I've seen it but it sounds like the modern equivalent of Crossroads ... ham acting, wobbly sets and all that.

LOL I've not seen it either, but that's the impression I get too ;)
I wonder is it also has a "Benny" character? :D

Massive blunder ................... is it really ? No big deal, I think.

Perhaps the producer will adopt it as a trademark. A bit like the mouse Terence Cuneo had in many of his paintings.

Fantastic example of his perspective in the NRM York

hardly unique. there is a long list of filming bloopers. Actors not removing wristwatches is a favourite
