I read on another thread that Mars will be visible on the 27th of August and will look like a second moon. Anyone able to confirm this and can advise where to be looking for it to photograph? Will it literally look like another moon so as to identify it easily?
Can't wait to have a go at shooting it.....
Cheers,
Neil

Bu66er!!
sorry Neil, I don't recall. The bracket might be best. I've only ever done this to capture the moon positions so always blown the planet. When I image Jupiter, I'm going to use my scope and webcam as this will provide me with much better image scale and should be able to capture the planetary cloud bands on the surface.
