Tried this for the first time. Oh my goodness. It tasted like eating earwax with too much salt on top. I had to throw my toast out.
 
NO NO NO Marmite is the best.

You only need a scrapping though, not to thick.

I quite like marmite occasionally, but dont love it...or hate it.
 
I absolutely love the stuff.

I like it on a cheese sandwich.

Back in Dec we went on holiday to the Maldives, I even took a jar of it there with me so I could have it on my toast for brekkie.

I like it thick spread as well

Marmite is the best I wont have a bad word said against it....SAVVY:lol:

Marmite is awful. The stuff they scrape out the bottom of the barrel...:gag: no thanks.

I have a jar here if anyone wants it, only a little bit taken out, still in date.
 
If you were closer id drive to get it lol

give it another whirl scapped thinly on hot toast with lots of butter.
 
One warning about marmite: Don't under any circumstances try to smash the jar against your forehead, no matter how drunk you are, no matter how much your equally ****ed up mate goads you, no matter how funny you think it'd be...


...not that I'm speaking from experience or anything...
 
That reminds me, I need to get some bitumen paint for the front door porch. :gag:
 
I have some in the house. I don't mind it as an occasional sandwich, thinly spread. I also like cheese and jam sandwiches too. Cheddar, and any sort of jam.
 
:gag: Marmite, hate the stuff. shouldb be banned!!!
 
I may try it again with it spread thinly. I did admittedly pile it on the toast like I would peanut butter.

My favourite sandwich. Take a white slice, thinly scrape some butter on it. Spread a moderate layer of Marmite. Then lay on cheese and onion crisps. Place 2nd white slice on top and press down gently. Cut in half. Heaven :D
 
Marmite and cheese on toast - a snack for a real man :lol:
 
My sister likes Marmite on an apple. With peanut butter, horseradish and tomato sauce (on toast, of course) does it for me.

I sent the gift pack with Paddington to Warsaw as an Easter gift.
 
I have mine on my sausages at breakfast. A guy at work has toasted marmite and banana sandwiches!

Jaffa Cakes. The "smashing orangey bit in the middle" was made from the earwax of the McVittie family.

:popcorn: and waits for someone to start a Jaffa Cake thread.....
