A slight twist, but who's a fan of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches?

If there are two things where I have to move away from people because the smell alone makes me feel ill, it is Marmite and peanut butter.

This thread is sick.

However since when did chocolate go with bread, yuk!!! :gag:

Pain au chocolat. It is also quite nice spread on hot ciabatta bread.

Michael.

Crunchy peanut butter, pickled chillis and sweet chilli sauce in two thick slices of bread, it's almost a satay sandwich. Yum!

And for those of you that haven't tried it, a cheese and jam sandwich is one of the great delicacies of modern times. Try it, you will be surprised at how good it is.

Cheese & Jam sarnie is just great, but Cheese & Marmalade is even better

My kids love peanut butter and chocolate spread sandwiches - it's just like a Snickers sarny!

Smooth peanut butter, strawberry jam and sliced banana on wholemeal bread...mmm...

Yeah but ... adding Marmite turns an ordinary sarnie into a first rate sandwich ...:D

Had Marmite on Buttered Toast for Breakfast today, delicious.....still have to try it with Cheese & Marmalade & Marmite!

This squeezy jar of marmite does not seem to taste as strong as the normal jar ?

Your right there, I found that too. I think its cos they have 'watered' it down to make it thinner so it will 'squeeze' out of the pot. Nothing wrong with a good o'll glass jar and a need to lick the spreading implement in my book

Back to the glass jar for me next time Marmite is on the Shopping List...

I prefer Bovril.

Each to his/her own ... alright for gravy I suppose ... :D

See Poll is won by Lovers of Marmite ...

Thrush in a bottle. No thanks.

I'm a random third option! Mainly because I don't love it or hate it - I'm just happy enough to eat it if it's there. I like it thinly smeared on hot buttered toast or in a cheese sarnie (decent cheddar works best IMO). There's always a jar in the cupboard, beside the (bigger) jar of Bovril but it's not something that goes on the shopping list until the old jar is empty.

Yummy. Toasted freshly baked bread, lots of butter and a good layer of the brown stuff! Can't beat it!

YES...OH VERY YES!!! :D

I neither like nor dislike it.

Nice on toast but if it's to thick then I can't eat it!

Put a small bit of Marmite on the end of a teaspoon, get another teaspoon, and using the back of it, keep tapping the underside of the spoon with the marmite on it.
After a few minutes the marmite goes white!!!!
Dean:)
