marmite whats it all about,have I been missing something all these years what does it mean and NO I dont mean the proper stuff which is lovelly.What I mean is what the heck is a MARMITE shot.I just cant seem to find referance to what it means

Guessing a marmite shot means "Love it or Hate it"

I am not sure but I am just guessing about it!
 
Or maybe you just put it on your cheese on toast when you have finished editing.....

ignore the comedians above Dave.

a Marmite shot is for us poor people that can't afford ND filters.
much like using Vaseline on your lens in the old days to achieve soft focus.
We use varying thickness's of Marmite to achieve the ND effect.

:thinking: what is up with you lot, marmite, vaseline...get with it please, have you not yet grasped the value of swafega smeared on the front element? Adds a really nice hue to your sunset shots, the granules do wonders for that sparkling bokeh effect and it cleans all those greasy finger marks off your lens at the same time :whistling:














Its possibly bedtime for me I think :D

I take it you also appreciate the value of Swarfega with its granules as an alternative to KY? :naughty:

I can't believe so much rubbish is spoken on this forum.

You spread it thinly over the lens to give the shot that ancient, sepia effect. The random thickness/browness just gives it perfect aging...

I prefere the cheaper alternative of sugar in fairy liquid! ;)
 
I believe that the term "Marmite Shot" is derived from the references in the pr0n industry to the "Marmite Motorway". At least that's what a friend told me.

Phlegm is best and totally free :)

Next best, if you don't want a slight hue, I find is Snot - flick your nose really hard and use the clear stuff that dribbles down

Anyone remember the brown-ish 'Tobacco' grad filters? Well there's a cheap way of doing that too - but it's a bit disgusting so I'll leave you to figure it out :D

You should have zoomed in a little closer. The Marmite jar looks lonely and the "M" is slightly out of focus, other than that it is a brilliant shot! Bravo! :woot:
 
I saw a limited edition marmite flavoured cheese in Tesco the other day.
 
I saw some marmite and champagne in Netto on Saturday. Next time I see it I shall buy a tub to try.
