Mark Webber seriously injured in bike crash

Hope he makes a full and speedy recovery

Same here, won't be speedy enough for Race of Champions though. I was fortunate enough to meet Mark at last years London Motorsport Show, top bloke, very friendly and down to earth.

Look on the bright side. At least a decent driver might get a chance to drive the car now.
And at least he'll have an excuse when vettel qualifies 1 sec quicker than him next season.

I hate the way people use 'serious accident' for what is basically only a Broken leg.

I just quoted what the article said. I've not heard any more on this though, what's the current situation?

Apparently he will be back next season.

Bit harsh!.....I say get him into a top car...I'd love to see how he did.

he already had one last year.. its just no one knew because they could only compare him to Coulthard (who is also mediocre at best).
Luckily Red Bull had two decent drivers in the underfunded Toro Rosso team!

I'll eat my own leg if Vettel doesnt blow Webber into the weeds next year (in F1, not in a whinging contest - webber would def win that one)

i think Vettel will give him a hard time.

Out of the 4 Red Bull drivers, Vettel is clearly the best suited to F1 at the moment. Webber seems to be naturally unlucky. I'd like to see Seb Bourdais keep his drive but unlearning a big lardy IndyCartRacingLeagueDodgemLeague car which takes some unlearning and adapting.

i think thats the problem with bourdais, he struggled with the car at the start but definetely came good towards the end of the season. probbaly the same problem that zanardi had when he moved back from champcars.
