Hi everyone ,

Has anyone had much experience in photographing a marine fish tank and can give any tips on how to get good shots ?

Thanks Craig

I've got a marine fish tank, I just get my lens right up to the glass in a very clean spot, use manual WB and use manual focus.

I generally use a 100mm f/2.8 / Canon 40D with a macro lens.

I have a macro lens but pics seem to be blurry due to movment

Blurry in the sense the fish are to fast? Well increase ISO and shutter speed!

If you want 'Pro' pictures then the best way is to setup two off camera flashes over each end of the aquarium pointing diagonally down towards the center of the tank.

Thank you very much for the info i will check the link out

Can also shoot further away fron glass but risk reflections (of camera, hands) so dim the room lights and drape dark (black) cloth over camera and wear black gloves  make sure aquarium glass is clean - best results if good quality aquarium glass has been used

Will give it a try room lights havent been used for the last yr as the fish tank is brighter than them lol so just have to worry about the tank lights .

Thanks Craig
