Why is there a 'close-up' setting (flower) on the camera settings dial, when manual settings are preferred for say, wanting to shoot indoor water drops, or butterflies on flowers in the garden, close-up?
Can someone explain the difference and give advice when to use the two different methods for close-up work :help:

Thanks in advance!

Beacuse some people dont know what setting you should use when shooting macro or close up. Same as why there is a sport mode and portrait mode and night mode on some cameras.
Personally I would never use the auto modes (dont have any on my camera anyway to use) but stick with A or M or S and learn how and why to use each setting rather than hope the camera gets it right.

Doh...yes, makes sense now!
Getting confused working out the best set-up (lens/tubes/settings) and lost my way a bit :bonk:
Thanks
