Ok so it's actually my better half doing the Nice - Cannes Marathon tomorrow.:gag:

Me?, well I'll be accompanying her to the start and naturally grab some souvenir shots.

Would be nice to grab a shot of her actually running but with the crowds of runners and spectators, that is very unliely to happen:(....I know from experience how difficult it is to pick one individual from thousands although i did manage a decent shot of her last year when she ran a much lesser competition of 10km.

Anyhow, I wonder how many other folk will be shooting the event on film...not many I guess.

I thought it quite apt to use the F4 seeing as I could maybe have a laugh and machine gun shoot a roll of film off in about 6 seconds.:D

Along with the old "push/pull" F/2.8 80-200mm lens, which i can manually focus faster than it can auto focus itself :rolleyes:, I reckon I'm onto a winner don't you?? :cuckoo::D

Anyhow, following months of training and support from her trainer ( Me! ;)) my dear Pauline is all set for her target time of 3 hours 45 mins.

Here's wishing her all the best for tomorrow:thumbs:

Thank you Lee.....I reckon she'll be just fine, might be me who needs more luck.................maybe I'd do better shooting LF :D

:lol: LMAO, Thanks Andy, Yeah she runs like a whippet:exit:....She does pretty darned good for a "veteran":D .... I can still cycle faster/further than her though and take better photos ..........occasionally:p

Asha she is female of course she is the better half, it's a fact:D ( awaiting hate mail now from a mainly male section of the forum:lol::lol:)

Don't worry you are impressive too....... have i redeemed myself now:p
 
This has got to be love ( or stupidity:confused:) on my part.....up having breakfast at 5am on a sunday.:gag:

Roll on 8 oclock when they start the race....I can get backhome to bed:p:D
 
Good luck to Pauline and just make sure you warm up properly before you go lugging that F4 about, you don't want to sprain anything before Pauline's even started.

I did a quick bout of interval training before leaving home Nick to get warmed up:whistling:......... yeah right, I was still half asleep when the starting gun went off at 8am! :D

Got a handful of shots before and upto the start.

Was hoping to get through a few rolls but in all honesty the light early this morning was pants so no expecting much in the way of results tbh..... a little dissapointing as an hour later the sky brightended up into a glorious day.

Yes that F4 was snapped up very quickly...no surprise really....never mind, i'm sure another deal will come up for you, just bide your time.
 
Well she's finished! ...had a call from her to say the run was hard in the latter half due to very strong winds, not 100% sure of her time ( will be posted online later today i believe) however it looks like she still got very close to her target time of 3h 45m.:woot:

I'm very proud of her! :clap:

Asha, I am waiting with so much anticipation for Pauline,s Marathon shots by you of course,come on mate lets see some,I want to see what Lycra the 3h 43m 47s girl was wearing and of course your matching ensemble. :)
