I have done a quick search, but not pinpointed what i need. I want a couple of reliable flashguns, that i can use in manual mode, to hopefully learn off camera flash, i have a Nikon D300 and an sb900 and some yongnuo 602/603. Many thanks.

Hmmm... D300 and 602/603... that so screams for the Yongnuo 560-III

Yongnuo 560-III as already suggested, only about £55 each and have built in receivers for the 602 and 603 transceivers.
