Hi,
I have bought a 500mm f8 mirror lens for my Nikon D80. It has an adapter which fits into the bayonet on the camera and then the lens screws into the adapter. It also has a 2x convertor which is also screw thread.
The manual says that TTL metering should pick up on the exposure and that should work.
It doesn't, so what I have done is to set it up on the tripod and start with a shutter speed and see what happens, then adjust the shutter speed to get the correct exposure.
It will probably get better with experience, but is this the right way to do it?
I don't have an exposure meter (other than the inbuilt one).
Kind regards
Bill
