I need to get a decent tripod & came across this one.

Is this a good bargain or is there some sort of catch to it?
I had a look about & think this is what I need, but why is is so much cheaper than it should be!

Any advice greatfully received.

Hi Spence

I just bought the same tripod from the same place.

Thing is, it arrived today, I've just got home and haven't even opened the box (still waiting for the wife to calm down at the site of yet another bit of photo kit).

Will let you know in an hour or two when she's hoiked off to bed! lol:clap:

PS I offered £100 but the guy counter offered at £109.

Bye for now

Tim

It looks very much like the new version of the older PROB model, which is an excellent tripod, it ain't what you'd call light though....

The PROB was a hernia in waiting. Check the combined weight - it doesnt sound much but if you plan to travel by air, it takes a big chunck of the allowance.

It's only a couple of £ less than my local dealer T4 Cameras has it for . It looks like it's a widely available package and looks to be very good value for money.

I'm a big fan of Manfrotto tripods and heads.
