Manfrotto Spares

My in-warranty 190XPROB has a broken spring for one of the leg catches and the supplier and Manfrotto want me to return the WHOLE tripod rather than just ship me a 5 pence spring, which I am not prepared to do as it would be at my cost....

So.

Does anyone know a source of Manfrotto spares?

Why not see if they will let you just send the catch back?

One thing you have to consider is that if you repair the tripod yourself, that will invalidate the warranty and this is why they will not send you the spare part.

I've tried to explain that I only want to send the spring back but both the supplier (Jacobs Digital) and Manfrotto themselves are insisting I send back the WHOLE tripod....so I am just going to pretend it's no longer in warranty and try and source the part myself....

I've got a big box of springs - need to know size. ID, wire diameter and no. of coils.

I have to buy part no. R190,504 - which is the coiled spring AND the button.

If anyone has a spare one - happy to purchase
