Eh? You can set the 322 up to have the camera on the end (like the 222) if you want to but (IMO) that puts a lot of strain on the ball gripping system by putting the camera/lens centre of gravity well away from the centre of rotation of the head. The 322 goes from lanscape to portrait however it's set up, so why would you need to have it go from portrait one way to portrait the other?
Just my opinion but if you go to a shop to try kit out, you should buy from the shop. Yes, you may pay a little extra over the web price but if you don't buy from that shop, sooner or later they'll go out of business and where will you go to try stuff out then? Best bet (if you're going to buy off the web) is to try a mate's kit rather than a shop's.
