I'm pretty new to photography and I've just purchased a Manfrotto 7322YB tripod. The head isn't really any good for when I'm shooting in Portrait as it can't hold the camera in the correct position without me really tightening it hard and even then, the slightest knock moves it.

I'm wanting to replace the head but I have no idea if I am able to buy a more ideal one and attach it to this tripod??

The head does come off if I unscrew the locking screw but I don't know if other heads attach like that or if they only attach with a screwed bottom that would go directly on top of the head already on there??

Yes, you can buy a different head.

I've got a Manfrotto 190XDB tripod and had been using an 056 head which came with it but found it a little bit of a faff to set the head up. I bought a Giottos ball head which has transformed how quick it is to set up. Head to your local camera shop and see which head suits how you work.

Hallo, I have the same doubt of you. Have you changed the head finally? It is possible?
