weekly Mandy's first 52 challenge 2014 week 52 added and all finished now

Colours look great on the bike. I'd have thought it was full size had I not read the description. Lovely detail on it :)

Must say I didn't realise it was a model at first nice and sharp with good colours.

 Mandy, great image, lighting looks good and colours great (y) the creases in the background are a little distracting though :)

I've noticed what appear to be creases around the front wheel, other than that I can't fault it.

It looks like a very detailed model as usually they look a little plasticy but yours doesn't (or maybe you hid it well with lighting, highly skilled photography, etc)

Nicely done Mandy....Standing straight up on the stand does this sleek machine the justice it deserves....I really like the highlights on the tyres, thats my fav part.

Thanks very much I think I played my best hand on this shot.

Thanks for the comments.

Thanks for the comments, yes I have crease issues as I have no lights to shine through my tent.

Thanks for the comments and the model is well made as it's made from metal and plastic, just like a real bike would be. I would also like to think my photography and pp skills are improving.

Really nice work on your bike picture it looks super sharp. I like the background.
And generally loving your thread and the speed of your editing from peoples feedback I have all on getting one shot done. (y)

Colour;s look clean and vibrant, have to say I'm not too keen on the BG I think Black would have suited the shot better if I'm honest

still a nice image though

Les ;)

Hard to get the tyres to stand out from a Back BG too, maybe a mid grey BG instead, Just a thought :p

Les ;)

I prefer the second edit of Line and the first edit of the Play themes. For the Close image, the colours and detail are amazing, but the creased background lets it down a little, as others have said. You are really too quick getting your posts in!! :)

Thank you for taking the time to view and comment.

Nice image Mandy, nice even lighting and colours stand out well. We'll done!

I had a second idea for close, again on the close up way of things, I took a photo of my favorite watch with my 600d with my 18-55 lens with my raynox 150 to draw out a bit more detail. Now i know the face has a few scratches ( work related ) but i find it adds character to the watch in pp i turned it into a b/w image as the watch is a very pale pink and the colour did not look right.

Close up watch face.

You are getting there Mandy- that's a nice shot - you can always remove the scratches using the Clone tool in Photoshop

I prefer this - very well done - no blown out highlights nor reflections on the glass  Sparkly things are very difficult I find.

Like the subject Mandy right up my street great colours and clarity and as said before would never have guessed it was a model.:)

Thanks very much for dropping by.

Good shot and the high-key conversion works well with the subject. You mentioned the scratches yourself which is something I'd have been tempted to remove in pp.

Thanks for the comments I did try but I couldn't get it to look right, I think I prefer my first offering if I am honest. I did this one for the few that didn't like my first image.

nice job on both of these - the bike is sharp and bright - and the watch is clear, nice BG, and no reflections.

Regards the scratches - if your cloning makes them look worse / more noticeable, then an honest version will win every time.

Thats a cracker Mandy, lots of detail, pinsharp, bright vivid colours, good work (y)

HI ya

you had me from the go as it's a bike....Neil Hodgson rep ...those were some good racing days :D bg has been mentioned , the lighting looks good though , bringing out all the detail & very sharp

When are you taking your test ? The gixer 750 is a beast n half , I had the K5 ...awesome power & great handling - I had the pleasure of riding it on the IOM doing top side 160 up the mountain mile...still smile when I think about it . You'll love it :-)

Thanks for the comments taking my test this year, and yes I love the gsxr750 I had the k5 in blue and black and a k4 1000, that I was pillion on when I had a fella in my life. I have yet to go to the TT but I follow it on the tv along with every other kind of bike racing going.

get yourself to the TT as quick as you can before the fun police destroy it....though what used to be known as The Manx is getting very close to being as good as the TT . Fella's...who needs'em when you've got a bike :D

MIssed your watch shot....like close up shots, the detail they reveal is incredible....mono was a good choice , the scratch adds character as you say , & wll lit , shiny things can be a real mare for hotspots but not so with your shot

Yes I quite agree with you I have my my little ybr which I love to bits, so I am happy as I am on my own. Mind you I can't help but think may a photographer that uses canon stuff would be lovely so I can steal there stuff I mean borrow.

Thanks for the comments on the watch not had much experience with photographing shiny things.
