weekly Mandy's first 52 challenge 2014 week 52 added and all finished now

Good job getting out with your camera when your full of cold. I like the gritty urban look to this, I think a lower angle looking further down the road may improve it slightly but nonetheless good shot well done!

I had thought about it but due to lack of waterproof trousers, and my aches and pains and it being a busy main road I didn't think it would be a good idea.

Hi Mandy, nice B+W conversion and a good take on the theme think I would have preferred it in portrait.
Oh and I am not a fan of the rounded edges either

Well done for getting out there and having a go when you are feeling so ill.

I like the b/w treatment and think getting the camera angle a bit lower and focussing more on the kerb and line would have got a bit more drama into the shot. Good start though and hope you are feeling better soon.

Thank you I hope I feel better soon as well.

Good start. As said nice textures, and the processing has a somewhat sinister feel to it. Think I'd order portrait orientation. Jus my preference.

51 weeks to go :)

Cheers.

HI Mandy

big:hug: to you as your poorly & well done for still getting the shot ( that's dedication for you !)

Quite like the frame & the off centre position of the white line but keeping the kerb central ... (y)

As others have said portrait may have been better (may not as well though :)).

B/W works really well, seems to have for everyone this week :D

Keep up the good work

I would have preferred portrait too and more central but that's just me

Odd - Good idea just a little dark I feel.
Linear/Line - I'm not keen on the framing but otherwise I like the image. The scruffy painted line matches the gritty processing.

Good lines there! I like the brokenness of it, not all clean cut. As someone else mentioned its 'gritty' which I think suits the b&w conversion.

A different take of road lines.

I just think there is a little too much pavement on view on the left hand side of the image.

Hi
like the point of view but perhaps you could have gone a little lower. not keen on vignette

sounds like this cold/flu bug is doing the rounds..hope you feel better soon

Like the buttons Mandy, maybe a bit dark but good thinking, :)white line great idea but like others not keen on the rounded corners.

Sounds to me like you should be tucked up in be with a hottie and a hot toddie.

Thanks for your comments, I am slowly starting to feel a bit better god bless my heated blanket on my bed. Not to mention my tablets I have been taking.

I don't really have anything to add that has not been said already I think.fits the theme well but I don't find it a particularly interesting image to look at...I guess that's just personal taste though rather than anything constructive for you to go on. Sorry!

Blimey - plenty going on in here....

The only thing I can add to the lines shot, is "how on earth did you restrain yourself from going selective colour on the yellow", I wouldn't have been able to I'll tell you that much! :)

#2 works better for me too. Like the grittiness and texture you've caught. Job done!
