Boobs (couldn't think of anything else to post....oh and not from Manchester, but sort of near).

Hi. I'm in M25! (and I go to Skipton a lot)

I have a photographic memory that was never developed

What are your favorite spots?

Mine has lately been around Salford quays

Mere Sands Woods & Cockerham Sands.

salford quays is nice, i quite like taking pictures near the big wheel thing ( pics on flickr)

I go wherever Marcel takes me :( which sounds very wrong (and usually is!)

...as for a pic of me in action...erm....

....found one (and in Manchester too!)

We've got something else in common! we both know Marcel! (i'm not bragging about it, in fact I don't know if I should admit it!)

Marcel is secretly a PIMP...

I have shot around Manchester, again only with Marcel and Jimmy_Lemon and PurpleClouds though.

I've never been into town, too scared I guess (I only just got the kahunas up to wander around Ashton-under-Lyne!)...but I do live next door. I've been to Belle Vue for the stock cars and done some togging there, you can see them on my flickr...

If someone wants to organise a meet, I'll probably be there - safety in numbers etc...

im from manchester too, but unlikely to see me toggin in the street's, prefer to be at a race circuit :)

I'm another near Manchester.

Got an hour between appointments in Manchester tomorrow so taking the little leica out for a play.........at last!

A meet would sound great one time, It is not good that we cannot go out with our equipment and feel safe, I am 18 and usually go town with another mate and we get our stuff eyed up all the time. so yes safety in numbers!

I'm 22 and never feel safe to be honest, I have done 2 days of Street photography with Marcel and Jimmy_Lemon (and once with petemc) and only just felt safe with them being 6ft+ etc but I'd never go alone.

Always up for meets etc (but only on weekends :( )

I can go off people really quickly ya know :p

Hi im from manchester too :)

i have done some photography around town and noticed people looking at my gear not sure if they are after nicking it or if they wonder if im a tourist.

I have also been asked "who do you thing you are, david bailey?"
[sarcasm]which i just love[/sarcasm]

I'm from the area also (well, about 25 mins south, but if Skipton passes then High Peak must also!)

Me too

Pete

Interesting that a lot of people don't feel safe with their kit in the middle of Manchester. Granted I have never been around there on my own, but never once felt threatened or noticed anyone looking at my camera more than anywhere else...maybe I just didn't notice. It is a shame so many people feel that way though :(

Think a meet is definitely on the cards :D

P.S Where were you all for the Chinese New Year meet? :p there were only 4 of us!

How is anybody suppose to recognise you if you post a photo where your face is not visible?

I too am a Manchester togger and would be interested in meeting up :)

I live in Manchester!! :D :D (well according to my address, though I pay my council tax to Bury Council for some reason. I'll find some photos of me later when I get home.

In the meantime, I'm looking to go togging in the city centre this weekend (Sat or Sun morning). Anyone fancy an early morning trip out - I've got a thread in the 'meeting place' forum!! :D

HI all from another Manchester togger.

have been out and about and always felt safe with my gear, although possibly would avoid city centre after dark (due to the alcohol fuelled idiots that are about)

would be up for a meet if others are interested

maybe there should be a TP bag sticker or pin badge that we wear while out so to recognise each other

maybe even a seceret handshake or phrase like the masons

I live in Ashton :D Been to the speedway and stockcars loads to take snaps.

Obviously in Manchester and up for a meet :)

I live in Manchester too, though I've not felt particularly threatened when walking around with my camera, but perhaps I've not walked round enough? :)

I'd be interested in meeting up at some point perhaps, depending on time. I'd love to have a meet up at some form of races, would like to give that a try, though I don't know if my 18-200 is fast enough.

:) Jimmy, by and large I've no problems with most of the city centre for taking photographs on my own.
The thing with me is I'd love to walk around Ancoats, which still retains a lot of it's Victorian character but is quickly being redeveloped and will in the near future be lost.
The problem with Ancoats is it's 'Bandit country'...I suppose you could call it the 'traditional' route taken by the gangs of Salford and Cheetham Hill into the city centre.
Granted you would have to be unlucky to run into any trouble and it certainly isn't as bad as it used to be, but none the less not a place for putting expensive gear on show.

was a bit weary the first timme i went into town taking pictures but soon realised theres actually alot of people out with cameras , quickly discovered weekends (night)are a no go , to many drunk people. week nights are ok though,

i,m a manchester togger<sale >but i,ve never been near the city centre i,d much rather tramp the woods and fields

I feel safer in the center, its when i go past g-mex on the met that it gets a bit dodgy and more people take interest in my equipment!

I've never heard of the 'mean streets of Sale'!! :D :D
