Hello All
Wonder if anyone can help me I would like to be able to fire my flash by hand while the camera is in open shutter mode, eg me moving from place to place and firing the flash were I need to, but can't seem to be able to do it. When I press the test button I get a sort of strobe effect not a single flash I can fire the flash by touching the sync terminals with a pin for example and then i get a full flash.
Any ideas?????

its a custom function in the settings, the test button is set to do modelling light, you can set it to do a test pulse ;)

You got it set on Multi? Set Manual.
 
Thanks David I have tried that but still only got the stobe flash.

Ok David and Richard you're right in the fuction settings I had to disable the Af assist beam, All Sorted now thanks for you help, isnt it funny how your mind can get into a rut and with a little outside thought it all comes together. I was really stuck bu you made me relook at my settings thanks again. Very gratefull.
