Recently I have inherited a Mamiya M645. However, this has a problem firing.
Without film in as per Mamiya's instructions, I set the camera to Multi. Have the mirror lock up in the upright position, wind the camera until it stops then fire the shutter. I then get a click but no sound of the mirror slapping up and down. It seems that it gets stuck half way and the only way I can return it is to press the red button on top and also the mirror lock up switch down and up again to see through the viewfinder.
I have read several people say that this is battery related however I have tried a new battery and no such luck. Any ideas? To better explain I have uploaded a YouTube video.
Is it basically buggered or is it just something simple? Could it be a dead off the shelf battery? It appears to light green.
