Hi People

Just acquired a C330 fitted with a 80mm f2.8 lens , On closer inspection it looks like 2 screws are floating around inside the lens , I think these should hold the aperture ring in place as its loose

Anyone done any lens repairs in this type of lens ?

I have ordered a Lens Repair Spanner Wrench Open Tool 10-120mm and a tiny screwdriver set

Fingers crossed

Lastly , any recommendation on a cleaning fluid for the lens , mirror and screen ?

Good luck with the repair.

I used a C330f for local press work in the '90s and regularly got plenty of stick from the other guys with their motor driven 35mm kit. I cried all the way to the bank because editors really liked the results from the big negs and I consistently got four column or bigger shows, which paid better. :)

Here's a typical shot: an RAF photocall taken with the Mamiya. It got used as a half page filler, thanks to a missing advert!

I'll have a look when I get home Allen, but if I remember rightly it should be a simple unscrewing the front element job (I can do this by hand on my 80mm) and take out the screws.
Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. It is a truly lovely camera and I wouldn't part with mine for any money. I also have the 55mm, 135mm and 180mm and they are all excellent lenses. I use mine a lot for still life shots.

Eg. 80mm lens on fomapan 200

Two nice quality photos , thanks for showing them

If you're not confident tackling this yourself you could always call on Miles Whitehead he sorted out my C330.

I will give it a go and photograph each step so I have a record of how it came apart
