Hi People

Just acquired a C330 fitted with a 80mm f2.8 lens , On closer inspection it looks like 2 screws are floating around inside the lens , I think these should hold the aperture ring in place as its loose

Anyone done any lens repairs in this type of lens ?

I have ordered a Lens Repair Spanner Wrench Open Tool 10-120mm and a tiny screwdriver set

Fingers crossed

Lastly , any recommendation on a cleaning fluid for the lens , mirror and screen ?

You'd be better off posting in the Film & Conventional section but most people will recommend Miles Whitehead (http://www.mwcamerarepairs.co.uk/) if you need a pro repair job. As for cleaning fluid I generally just buy a cheap box of single use glasses cleaning wipes from Asda/Poundland and use them as I need them (or my t-shirt..).

I'd send it to Miles but if you feel confident then why not. If it's easily fixable probably only 40 to 50 quid. Great camera and lens though, I have the blue dot 80mm plus a couple more and finders. It's great fun messing with these old cameras and film. The instructions are easily downloadable with a quick Google search. I've used spectacle cleaner on mine sprayed onto a spectacle cloth, not seen any problems. my glasses cost a lot more than many camera lenses so I can't see it can be harmful applied that way.
