Malware on my iMac

well after many years owning my retina 5k i have picked up some maleware. Tried to download an ftp program and got infected. What’s my best option to get rid of this on the imac. Thanks.

Malware bytes and a good ftp program is FileZilla.

It was fileZilla that i tried to download after doing a search, couldn't have gone to the correct site. Managed to transfer the images through WeTransfer in the end.

Out of interest, what site did you download the malware infected version from?

Thats the things, i don't know. I thought i clicked on Filezilla but i can only think it was not the genuine link.
