Hi All,

I’m going to make my own camera strap, and I just wondered if anybody knows of any ways do mount the strap to the camera with a system similar to the Peak Design Anchor system.
Obviously this is a great system, just wondering if I’ve missed any or if there are any alternative cheaper options?

Great to hear thoughts, if not I’ll stick with the PD System.

Why reinvent the wheel? And why risk an expensive camera on a possible prototype strap?
I have the peak design slide which is a great strap, and easy to take on and off, as I also have the wrist grip.

I just find the A7 Strap so boring and I don’t really like the branding all over it. I much prefer a wrist type strap, the PD Slide does look great, and I’m really liking their Blue summit strap I think, just didn’t know of it was overkill for a small camera!

Oh really £19, I’ve been looking in the wrong places I found some on eBay for £29 I think! Thank you I never thought of Amazon, I’ll check them out!
 
I have two of these:

With my 1Dx and 24-70 F2.8 Mk2 (about 2.3 kilos) you barely notice they are there - very comfortable and secure. I wouldn't go much above 3 kilos load, whilst secure, it tends to bounce a bit if you walk quickly. The curved design and Neoprene construction spreads loads very well and the quick detachable facility is very handy if you use tripods some of the time.

It is the best strap that I have (yet) found and it is reasonably priced - perhaps that is why I bought another one?
