Guys,

I recently took a few photos on the way into work. As one of the comments rightly pointed out, it is a great way to start the day :)

So how about it. This thread here, we post nothing but photos taking on the way to, or from work and those taken on lunch breaks etc. Might get a few more people taking the camera in, and would be interesting to see the environments we all put up with on a day to day basis for the sake of pay!

So feel free, any shots which fit the criteria, lets see them. I am going to get some over my lunch break :) Also, its light hearted, masterpieces not required (although they would be extra special ;))! I wonder if we will discover some people who cross the same areas day to day...

Not taken on the way to or from but while at work. I work as an Incident Officer on the railway .. in this case the unfortunate driver ran into the even more unfortunate bridge. In these cases, all rail traffic is stopped until one of us get there to ensure that the bridge isnt damaged. For those who may know the area, this was on the A5, Watling Street at Hinckley, Leicestershire and the same bridge get struck by road vehicles at least twice a week. Taken a 2 days after xmas 2005, in a snowstorm.

Benefits of living and working in the countryside!

Cool Idea Gary,

My line of work means I cannot take photo's in the workplace, but I'll certainly contribute on my way too and from when I get chance.

Nope - just north west of Biggar - river Clyde in the 2nd one looking south ish towards Southern Uplands.

My office is at the end of my bed. Thats going to be a dull trip :D

Taken on the way to work a while back:

The fair comes but once a year, so have to wait til October '09 to do anything about those screwed up highlights

And this was taken at work. The old part of the library dates from 1901 and the shelving is all original. A good amount of the stock in there is a fair bit older than that!

Not sure I can do creative stairs... But I'll have a think about it....

Pretty much everything I've taken so far with the slr has been during my lunch break - haven't had a chance to use it for anything in particular yet (still learning).
The stuff I've taken over the past month or so are all in this set : http://www.flickr.com/photos/hotrods/sets/72157608083392848/

I work in a rural town, so theres everything from

Taken during a lunch break on a particularly cold day in December 2006, just out the back of where I work :)

Oh dear, I travel to work just before 4am and its only a 4 mile drive. The best I have come across is the odd fox and white owl. And long exposures before work are a no no as I am up early enough:lol:

Interesting thread though:thumbs:
