Make a 'Misty' photo

I have some wedding photos that would like to make a misty edge to. Like when the happy couple are seen through a wine glass. Can anyone tell me how to go about it please?

Dupe image to new layer.

Gaussian blur (experiment with amount).

Set opacity of new layer to around 20% - 40%.

So what your asking is can we all have a glass of wine and take a pic

i think i have seen these, they get a pic of a wine glass and put the bride and groom picture in it then set low opacity so they are see through

Shoot with a Leica uncoated lens pre 1945. The effect is wondrous

Pics are converted DNG images, with no sharpening, or post processing.

Leitz Summar 50mm F2 @ f2 (uncoated 1932)

It can do sharp too!

Same lens at f8, 100% crop.

These old lenses are quite unique.
