This is my first attempt at doing anything like this, first and foremost i hope it encourages me to get out and take pics and hopefully develop into a better photographer.

Although having said that i've 'failed' at the first hurdle and have had to use a picture taken on Christmas Day with my new nifty!

I know it's not fantastic but it's a fun one to start with - My daughter *** loving her reflection!

Don't you just love the excitement and enjoyment young children get from the simple things like a reflection.
Shame it's a little bit soft, but I'm sure practice will help.

First the main thing is your going to take more pictures to improve...

Don't we all need to push ourselfs a little now and again.

Yes it's a little soft but when you get it right your be over the moon.

So your in the game and that's what counts...well done:clap:

Nice catch of the moment, well done on getting it  good luck with the remainder.

Well done on starting a personal challenge, it will benefit you in the end.

Tough shot to nail, rug rats move so fast it's nearly impossible to get their eyes sharp. I would have liked to see more of the reflection (perhaps from behind) but I suppose as you weren't shooting to capture the reflection (as this was before the Photo52 started) it's forgivable.

With such a bundle of terror I hope you find the time to get a fresh shot for history, I'm sure that she could provide some inspiration for the theme if you are stuck.

Thanks for all of the comments!

Simon ALM - I did actually get one that was looking directly at the reflection but it didn't really come off so decided to post this one. It is hard to get time to do anything at the moment (even more so this week as she's not well, has a temp of 103!) but i have plans for 'History' on Saturday morning............ maybe!!

I know, I'm struggling this week, lots of thoughts, lots of things I'd like to do but can't figure out when to go and get them. Have you thought about the history that's contained in your daughter's first booties, first babygro, lock of hair etc.

I did consider something along those lines but she hasn't had a hair cut yet and i feel any picture would really need that to be honest (maybe the wife won't notice if i have a quick snip :naughty:) I have a great idea that sadly i won't have time to pull off but i'll come up with something - even if it's the bleedin obvious!! :bang:

Aaaaah, she's cute! Just because it's a little soft doesn't mean it's not a bad composition. The whole point of this for me is that in 51 weeks time I can look back and see how far I've progressed with the help of everyone who contributes. In only a few days it's taken over a chunk of my life: thinking about what to shoot for this weeks theme, trying to find the time, keeping up with all the other 52ers........:D. So welcome to the challenge

Well after my PC went down i've been system less for almost two weeks now, finally had a chance to resurect it and will be uploading my missing images as soon as i've had a chance to edit!!

I'm just glad my blackberry told me the topics for the last week!

:lol: don't worry, you can play catch up - we won't think any less of you :D

I love the expression of the reflection photo. I love seeing children playing with their reflection

Lovely picture mak1, she is a little sweetheart.

I am going to the game on Saturday (in the box) so am hoping that my surprise pic might come from there.

Looking forward to the catch up shots :) A definite cutie you have there :)

I suspect we'll see her again over the next 48 weeks :)
