Magnetic Paint

Has anyone had any experience with magnetic paint.

i was thinking of painting one wall in my office with it so I can attach photos to the wall with magnets. For one it would save a lot on frames and mounts as I seem to do a fair bit of printing my images but they are all just stuck in a shoe box.

Any other suggest welcome

Thing is, there's not many magnetic paints about that hold enough force to hold an object. Unless there's paint with Neodymium powder instead

You would be better getting a sheet of metal, preferably steel, and using magnets.
I don't know of any magnetic paint available. (just Googled, mixed reviews)
Various size sheets are available as kitchen splashbacks. IKEA sell them.
They can be painted to match the existing decor. No need for fancy, expensive magnets.

This! There are a few online companies that will cut to size drill mounting holes and deliver to you.

Could you use the same method employed for making DIY magnetic silly putty, but substitute paint for putty?

I'd guess you'd need to do some experimentation with the paint/oxide proportions, and number of coats needed to get magnets to stick to it.

Go to any sign supply places and buy magnetic sheeting. The type used on vans for removable signage. It has a white vinyl covering that can be wiped down. Just glue it to the wall.

the paint isnt all that tbh, we done a section on my boys wall to hang his drawings on but didnt really work so ended up fixing a sheet of powder coated mild steel on the wall. works very well. we got small magnets off of ebay to use on them
