Magic Lantern

I find it slows down camera wake time by a split second due to the boot flags, so I don't use it all the time. But because it's so easy to enable/disable, I have it on my card and take half a minute to enable it whenever I want to do video.

For photos, it's only really worth it for the intervalometer. There's also focus ramping for doing focus stacking, which I've yet looked into.

For videos, it's a must for focus peaking along. The shortcuts are also brilliant for adjusting audio on the fly.

iv installed it to one of my 16gb sd cards it boots up dam fast anytime i put that sd in and use it, i love the hdr bracketing options and time laps and movement trigger on it and when i dont want ml ruining i just turn the cam off and pop another sd card in and turn cam back on and its back on default firmware

Does the movement trigger just turn it on in video mode, or can you set it to take single shots ?

Does it drain the battery faster?
I found this was a major issue with CHDK on a powershot, plus the menus were a bit of a nightmare to negotiate.

I've noticed that if I've left my camera for a couple of days the battery is dead. I think it seems to only be when left on but in powers save mode. In also sure it didn't used to do this before I installed ML. I could be wrong. Need to do a little more testing.

I've not noticed a problem during use though.
