Magic Lantern/who uses it/recommend it?.

Not sure if this is the right section for this.
Am i right in thinking that ML stays on your CF card,so if you want to format your card after transferring photos to my p.c. you lose ML.
Or if you fill your card up & put a new one you are in the same boat,just trying to decide whether or not to give it a try.

Recent updates to ML mean you can format your card without removing ML (there is an option when selecting format to decide to keep or remove ML). You'll need to install ML on each card you want to use it with though - I believe you can now transfer configuration between cards to make sure they are all aligned.

I've used it in the past (as you can probably guess) and the functionality is nice to have, but I've been able to get by without it. The focus peaking would be particularly nice for me, but I haven't bothered installing the latest version, I might when I get more time.

Whether or not you should install it is all dependent on how much you want the additional functionality and if it out weighs the risk of bricking your camera. Sorry, you'll just have to wrestle with that yourself
