Magic lantern, any problems?

I am wanting to use Magic lantern on my 550D and many people seem to be using it but I have downloaded the firmare and on reading the PDF install instructions it says the following:-

* THIS IS DANGEROUS AND MIGHT DAMAGE YOUR CAMERA. *
* NO WARRANTIES. NO GUARANTEES. *
* *
* IF IT BREAKS YOU GET TO KEEP BOTH PIECES *
***************************************************
and also further down the instructions:-

**remember that this software can damage or destroy your camera.**

So, is it really that dangerous or would I be ok to just go ahead?:thinking:
 
I first installed ML back in July 2011 or thereabouts. No problems with either camera. I check the nightly builds and update the 550D if I see anything of interest. The "Armageddon" clause is just to cover their part of the human anatomy that goes over the fence last.

Again no problems. The 550D has the software installed on a class 10 SD 32gb card.

Just be sure to prepare the SD card exactly as instructed.

magic lantern is stable on 2.3 with the 550d. my dad runs it on his 550d without any issues. this is just to cover their behinds i have been running magic lantern since i had my first camera. and on my 7d when i got it and now on my 5d MK II . NEVER had any issues or glitches. runs seamlessly along side of canon firmware

Look at the specs sheet on there website it covers all the differences
