Which comics(magazines) do you read?
I've taken to Digital Photo as i find the video guides a god send for helping me with the various techniques in photoshop.

I tend to pick magazines based on business and equipment content

Me too, I used to buy it a few years ago - I'm sure they are repeating themselves with some of the videos - but I'll continue to buy them while they're useful to me

Digital Photo and Practical Photography. Both subscribed to for the free gifts, which were worth more than the subscription :)

Same here but not on a regular basis, if something catches my eye in the video tutorial then i buy the mag, i have a reasonable collection of the videos, as regards the mags repeating themselves they most definitely do, as do most of them, the type of thing that does make me laugh is front cover headlines like "how to get great landscapes shots in just in 24 hours" yeah right.

The trouble is that once you get through your own personal learning phase they do begin to irritate.

Have a look at Digital SLR Photography. It has about the best content of all of them with some good projects to practice techniques. You will find that it stays with you a lot longer than some because it does actually stretch your photography above the level of "move the dial from P to A)

I burned my last copy of practical photography and wrote to the editor in protest.

I subscribed to Digial Photo. I'm still in the beginner stage so not noticed any repetition yet that i think is inevitable with any monthly publication that runs for years.

The bulk of mags are great for newbies (hate the term, but only one that fits).

I buy based on articles - if it's something I'm interested in, then I'll buy it. I find them all very much the same these days....

Any and all of them.

I tend to buy one (what-ever is available at the time) when on my way somewhere with the kids (Swimming Lessons / Swimming Club / Dancing Classes / Brownies / guides) as it passes the time.

When i build a pile of them up i usually offer them on here FOC.

Which is an absolutely fab idea chillimonster.

I must get round to making a list of some of mine that could use a new home :)

There are a number of us 're-clycling; magazines on TPF. Seem a shame to keep them in a pile gathering dust.

Look out for my last pile appearing back on the forums when magpieant has waded through them :)

I've started to only pick up the ones that feature someone's work that looks inspirational. I learn more from these forums than I do from magazines :D

I know there are Canon dedicated comics. Are there any Nikon ones?
:nikon:

Yeah Practical Photography!

(I'm half jesting there P20, it's unashamedly biased)

But no there are no dedicated Nikon ones that I know of ;)

No they are still stuck reading the manual and figuring out how to get the lens cap off :rules:

Just jesting!

I don't buy any mags or even newspapers, I got fed up of reading yesterdays or last months news. Anything you want to find out is on the net somewhere for free.
