Madhouseof5's 365

43/365 - a bit of an explanation for todays shot. I took part in a fundraising event for Birmingham Children's hospital where my middle son is treated. We abseiled down the front of the Mailbox building in the city centre. Amazing experience, but I am not yet sure if I would ever want to do it again, lol!

47/365 - Todays photo is dedicated to any UK parents of a child with a heart condition. The NHS are reviewing all children's cardiac units with a view to cutting back surgical centres from 11 to 6 or 7. I know that the safe & sustainable report has caused a lot of anguish for many parents, especially those who's children have been operated on or due to be operated on at the smaller centres that are possibly earmarked for closure.

Wow, how much have you improved since you first post...:D

I really like how you've evolved and you're really tried to experiment with different genres and styles.

A few that stuck out for me were:

#4, I like the symmetry, contrast between the blue and white and the fact all the lockers have locks on them.

If I were to be very, very.....picky, it looks like the symmetry is out a tad (sorry)

#10, brilliant, what stands out is the look on her face..."CHOCOLATE!!!"

#12, Like it and I know how hard it must have been; great idea.

#13, wow, look at them eyes!

#15, best one so far for me. Great dof and l really like the grainy processing. Just the front left stork distracts me a bit, or maybe it adds to the depth: thinking:

#16, another minimal photograph that works really well in b&w

#18, sheesh, you keep on coming up with original ones. Only thing I noticed, again being picky, was the second spoon has the treacle dripping into the center of the spoon.

#21, nice depth and really like the sun at the back of the deer, gives it a really warm glow. Nicely framed in the tree trunk and branch as well.

#27, tied for first place, so far. I like the lighting and composition. Great expression as well.

#28, lol, you've maybe focused on my favorite character, the one behind Lightening McQueen...

#41, chuckle, nice simple one which works well.

#49, that made me chuckle! Bubbles are a bit blue but I know how hard metering can be in such situations.

#56, great colours and depth. Half inch of the bottom, maybe?

#63, well spotted

What Tamron lens have you got, by the way in #54?

I have to say, 'You got talent!"

Cheers.

Wow, thanks for such good feedback Andy, I really appreciate it! I am glad to hear that there has been some improvement. This is my second year of a 365 and I did wonder if I could improve as much as last year. Mind you, there are bound to be times where everything seems really stagnant and I lose my mojo like I did in the middle of last year.

Oh, and my Tamron lens is a 17-50 2.8, really nice lens and perfect for what I need it for!
