Have just sold my first photo through the stock agency I've been with for 2 years. I made £78, which isn't a lot, but it gave me a nice warm glow inside:thumbs:
Here's the photo in question;

Nothing special at all, not even level:shrug:

Nice! Which agency?

Thanks Tom. The agency is SocialStock.

Thats great man, well done. Do you have to pay a start up fee with them?

way to go Rob, well done mate , drinks are on you then :)

Cheers Kev- I've drunk it all already. By the way, I've had a search around that junction 6 of the M40. There's some great landscape shots to be had. Fancy it sometime?

Could do, there's plenty of space. Will put up a thread in meetings to gauge interest and will PM you.

Thank you . No start-up fee and 40% of the total sale.

Cheers mate. Will have to sign up with them myself. Thank you very much and once again nice one and keep up the good work :)

Well done.
Shame about you lot going down.

Nice one. I'm nowhere near good enough to sell images yet, but I'll keep that link in case I ever start taking some decent pictures :D

Yay! Well done Rob x

Cheers Tori:thumbs:

Thanks Dave, you'd be suprised at what sells on the site, in terms of content. Have a look and maybe send some in.

Hey - well done !

I was looking at SocialStock the other day and was a bit confused with their wording - I know they ask for images on CD / DVD but wasn't clear about whether you could submit via upload ?

sorry to be really rude, and obtuse, but someone bought that image for £78? I am knocking out 9" x 5.5" for £20 a pop in a mount and frame.

What rights do they get for £78?

hmm they take 60% ?????????????

Thank you Phil, you can also just upload to the site:thumbs:

Not rude at all Lynton. The photos are sat on my hard drive doing nothing. I have uploaded shots that have been taken whilst out and about wandering with my camera,so no real effort was involved. That image sold for 2 uses, one is license for 3years web usage and the other is for an A4 print. I don't know where or who will be using it . That sale has meant the purchase of a 1.4 converter. Not a great amount, but I'm happy.

i was thinking about submitting to this site but this bit confused me

the image should be between 6-10 mb compressed how do I find out the compressed size of my image

i know its 36.4mb uncompressed I shoot jpegs at the highest setting on a canon 5d sorry if this is a silly question but it as stumped me

I must be going blind.....I cant even see HOW to submit.

Well done on the sale though
