Sorry if this has been posted before,

Im having trouble shooting macro with my FujiFilm S5600 camera, im not sure what settings i need to get really clear close-up shots with detail.

I choose the little flower ( macro icon ) on the screen but not sure what setting of top of the camera.

read the manual, its sure to be in there..
 
i would have thought selecting the macro mode it would be automatic.
 
The S5600 has full auto and also A priority, S priority and full Manual amongst it's settings.
I don't know how good the S5600 focuses in Macro mode when on Auto settings but the S9500 struggles, you get much better results in Manual. I can't tell which settings in Manual to use as it's different for each subjects conditions.
If you are very new to camera settings have a play with this gizmo, it will tell you what happens at various settings.
