I agree Dave go with the Kenko tubes. You retain the AF etc with these unlike the cheaper versions.

you still retain af on the 'cheaper ones', they have all the connections

There is a story on TP about a chap who bought a set of cheapies from ebay.
A tube became immoveably jammed on one of his cameras and he had to resort to a hack-saw to get it off.

It's just not worth the risk IMVHO.

I've the cheap (£15) ones and they do work well. The down side is focusing is really difficult and fiddly. The depth of field is also so tiny that unless you get it right most of your image will be blurred. But I loved mine and have since upgraded to a macro lens as I learnt it was something I wanted to learn more about.
