Macro set problems

Hi

I have a pack of 4 macro extention lenses.

When I have them on my existing lens, it finds it really hard to auto focus, and sometimes won't at all, we only got one good shot out of well....loads

Is there something I have to tweek to make them work, I have this set & a Sony A200 was using the kit lens and my other Sigma lens.

I tend to manual focus due to the lose of light when using extension tubes. Also remember that DoF is tiny when using them
 
Manual focus for 99% of macro shots, you need to use the "rock backwards and forwards" technique in MF mode to get sharp results. There is a 2nd problem that if you've got a short working distance AF can cuse your lens to zoom in and out and scare / squash your target...
 
ok cool, thanks, we had it on auto so prob was the problem, managed to get one nice shot though ;)
