Yes it does cover it slightly, although probably not too much on a 58mm. You can just crop images slightly to remove the edges.
Forgive my intrusion into a classified with no intent to buy but I'm struggling to rationalise the vignetting leading to the need to crop.
The object lens is only 46mm and the diagonal AOV on a crop sensor is only about 18 degrees at minimum focus distance....does this really affect the image?

You might be right - I have only recently got mine and it does require cropping on a 67mm lens, but doesn't on a 55mm lens. Hence why I stated that the vignetting on a 58mm probably isn't too much (if at all noticeable).

I was just trying to help out the OP and potential buyer.

Mike,
No problem at all, I was just surprised by the possibility.....I'm assumimg that the 55mm and 67mm refer to filter threda sizes?
What are the focal lengths of the lenses? Longer FL will have less chance to vignette as the AOV is smaller...the objective lens on the lens with a 67mm filter thread will be a very different ptoposition though

split out from sales thread, interesting subject..

the flash has 52mm on as standard, on a smaller lens its fine, i used with 50mm and was very good, but did vignette on a much larger sized adaptor.
