NIKON AF-S Macro NIKKOR 60 mm f/2.8G ED Lens

Or

Nikon AF-S DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED

I'm wanting both of the lens, but can't really justify buying the both just yet!

I'm going to get one of the above tomorrow, not sure what to go for. I want to try macro shots, and landscapes with the fisheye.

What would you go for first and why?

 Only you can answer this mate...what will you shoot most of..landscapes or macros? The macro will be more versatile tbh but all depends on your style.

Macro for me. Reason is, you can use it anytime anywhere where as the fisheye, its meant to be used mainly outdoors.

IMO, the Macro will see a LOT more use.

If you still want a fisheye (but a fisheye for landscapes? try the 10-20 [or 12-24] Sigma instead) get yourself a Lomo FishEye 2 (around 55 quid) and have a play - if you find yourself using it a lot after a month or 2 then consider the 10.5mm.

Just had a brief look at flickr pics....... I reckon with your style of you'd benefit from a fisheye! You can be so creative with it..... I really rate this bit of glass (as I do Nikon's macro kit) but I think you achieve your macro expectations with a set of close up filters on your 50mm.

I just remarked on HimupNorth's thread my feelings about fisheyes. And with Capture NX you can achieve extreme wideangle with the 10.5mm which is reasonably corrected.

Try this I did with mine in Cambridge when I first got it.

I even took it on our honeymoon in Venice..... gives such a different perspective on of a well known subject

I just think you'll appreciate the fish-eye more than the macro..... controversial? Me? Never! :naughty:

Well I have both of those lenses

Although I do skateboard photography I use the fisheye quite a bit but I also use it for other shots as well. The macro lens I haven't really used it that much but it's still a nice little lens.

I would say fisheye as it's more creative and a bit more fun :)
