Can anybody help me choose a macro lens:help:
Budget is the main constraint. I'm happy to use an older lens as I have just got hold of an E series 50mm 1.8 from a TP member so maual focus/metering not a problem. From a little research 105mm seems to be a recommended length.

Once I have a good Idea I will pop a request in the wanted section.

What is your rough budget range? Depending on what you're shooting it might be easiest to go for a macro filter from someone like Hoya?

about a £100 will get you a set of kenko extension tubes which will give you 1:1 ish when used with the 50mm.

£100 ish. I got a great deal on the 50 1.8 from a TP member so I was just fishing. I have no idea on prices for this type of lens, if my budget is unrealistic I will have to put on hold for a while.

Take a look at the Raynox lens range from £25 to £60ish these clip on style lenses give excellent quality at a cheap price. Filter range from 43mm to 67mm I would suggest starting with the DCR 250 or DCR 150, or as said extension tubes.
