i think, the sigma 50 f2.8 ex macro, is about 160 from OSD, but could be wrong, doesnt have the longest reach, but produces great images and feels great,
only one i've used, so no idea about a comparison,

Wanting to get a macro lens either today or tomorrow.
Any reccomendations for around £150?
Nikon D60 is the cam.

I think you could probably pick up a tokina 100mm, sigma 105mm or tamron 90mm for 150-180 quid off ebay, lots of people buy them and they hardly get used so end up on ebay at very good prices an in great condition.
I have the tokina 100mm so can vouch for that lens, but i am sure any of the above will serve you well, i wouldnt go for anything with a shorter focal length than the above, it nice to have a good working distance from your subject.

well, i'm not sure if they made a Nikon fit on my reccomendation, but on the chance they did...i would HIGHLY reccomend the Canon 60mm USM Macro, it really is superb. Going on ebay for a touch over your budget of around £175 from the far east. It REALLY is a macro, and super nice quality.
