Macro lens?

I've recently bought my first D-SLR (Sony alpha). I bought it with the kit lens (Sony DT 3.5-5.6/18-70...0.38m/1.3ft MACRO) and then i managed to get hold of a bargain (4.5-5.6 D 75-300...1.5m/4.9ft MACRO) and a 2x AF converter. I'm mainly interested in astro and macro shots and i'm after a macro lens but i'm not sure what to look for?

Any Macro lens recommendations for the sony alpha???

The Tamron 90mm is good in any mount.

Generally cheap but with fab optics. That's the first lens I'd look at, regardless of mount.

Yep I agree the tamron is superb!..Had the sigma 105mm prior to it and just feel the tamron is a tad sharper..

Cheers mate. Wheres the best place in the uk, that are likely to sell them?? The ones on ebay are Hong Kong, USA. Found a sigma 90mm on ebay at £135.

You can pick up bargains on E-Bay.....But there is a lot of sharks in them there waters....:shake:
