I've just started shooting insect macros, can only use natural light currently, with 24-105L and tubes. The need to use high ISO is annoying, as is having a very close working distance. Does having a short working distance mean that the relative DOF is shallower than say a 100mm 2.8 from a further away providing the same magnification?
I hope this makes sense.
Also considering a cheap non-LED ring flash, the DRF-14, along the logic of it's better than nothing.
Thanks for any help.
